Logistics & Distribution

The Logistics and Distribution sector is an expanding area, especially for the East Midlands, which has excellent links to the whole of the country.

Logistics and Distribution as a sector is being affected by significant shifts in consumer patterns and government policy. This includes the shift from high street shopping to on-line shopping and the need to reduce carbon emissions and congestion. Changes like this have had a major impact on the nature and structure of the sector. All of this has meant that innovation is key, particularly in the areas of fuel consumption/reduction, renewable fuels, logistics management, storage capacity etc.

If your business is involved in any aspect of Logistics and Distribution then you could be eligible for iNet support including access to grant funding, academic research time and market analysis and expertise.

The iNet support offering comes in the form of two ERDF projects SING and PACE, each with a slightly different support package.
