Advanced Manufacturing & Engineering

The Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering sector spans almost all industries and therefore encompasses a vast array of businesses both large and small.

According to the LLEP's Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Sector Growth Plan ‘high-tech’ manufacturing sub-sectors in Leicester and Leicestershire employ approximately 21,000 people across 590 sites. The majority of these are SMEs employing 50 people or less. Advanced manufacturing is the use of technology, specifically innovative technology in the design and manufacturing process.

If your business is involved in 'high tech' or advanced manufacturing or you are thinking of moving to an advanced manufacturing method then you could be eligible for iNet support including access to grant funding, academic research time and market analysis and expertise.

The iNet support offering comes in the form of two ERDF projects SING and PACE, each with a slightly different support package. You might also qualify for incubation support through our LU Space Incubator project.
