A new fund to support enterprising Loughborough University students and recent graduates has just launched.
The Loughborough Start-up Fund – managed by the Loughborough Enterprise Network (LEN) – is offering grants, ranging from £500 to £5,000, to successful applicants that want to kick start their exciting business ventures.
If you have a business idea or existing business – that is either pre-trading or in the early stages of development – you can pitch now.
The Fund is open-ended and accepts submissions throughout the year, but it is not limitless. So, those interested are encouraged to apply as soon as they are ready.
The process has changed this year and you must first submit and Expression of Interest to your Student or Graduate Enterprise Advisor.
If you are invited to submit a full application, you can do so at any point after that. You will then be invited to a Start-up Fund panel where you will pitch your idea for the opportunity to win £5000 to kick-start your business.
Charlie Wheeldon, Head of Student and Graduate Enterprise, said: “Our new Fund offers fledgling student and graduate businesses the chance to secure start-up funding. We’re really looking forward to working with the University’s entrepreneurs as they embark on their exciting business journeys.”
