1-2-1 Social Media Training

Loughborough University is offering Charnwood businesses the opportunity to receive free 1-2-1 social media training and advice from Loughborough students.

The programme has been running for five years and has proved very successful for numerous local businesses.

Furthermore, Loughborough Students' Union is hosting a series of three talks and networking sessions, supported by Love Loughborough and InCharnwood.

Social Media Uncovered

There are three events taking place:

Thursday 1st February - 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Cognito, Loughborough Students' Union

Can we turn likes into sales with social media?  You've built your network but can you build sales with social media?

The evening starts with a talk from Paul Ince at Like Mind Media, about the growing importance of social media for businesses. Refreshments and networking will follow.  You will also have the opportunity to ask for advice on various social media platforms from Loughborough students.

Tuesday 13th March - 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Cognito, Loughborough Students' Union

What makes a good social media campaign and what makes a bad one?

The second of these social media uncovered events is filled with tips and ideas on how you can run a successful campaign on social media. See examples and ask expert Paul Ince for advice. This will be followed by a networking session and the chance to ask for advice on various social media platforms from Loughborough students.

Wednesday 2nd May - 6:30pm - 8:30pm
Cognito, Loughborough Students' Union

How far will social media push boundaries? What does the future of social media look like and where will it stop?

The last event in the series is lead by research expert Michelle Richey. It is a fascinating insight into how social media is changing and where it might go in the future.  This will be followed by the final networking session and the opportunity to ask students questions relating to social media.

Please note, all these activities and events are free of charge - just email emmabishop@lsu.co.uk to reserve your place.
