Different prize categories for applications using earth observation to tackle global challenges in the fields of deep learning, the IoT, big data analytics, smart mobility and industry 4.0 – just to name a few. This year includes a new 'ESA Sentinel Small Sat (S^3) Challenge' aiming to stimulate ground-breaking satellite design, testing and manufacturing solutions leading to small missions complementary, or providing added value to current Sentinel family missions. The submission phase for this year’s edition is running from 1 April – 30 June 2017.

The 2017 Copernicus Masters and European Satellite Navigation Competitions are now open. Both competitions run annually and consist of a number of Challenges.
This competition annually awards the best services, products, and business ideas using satellite navigation in everyday life. Its mission is to spur the development of market driven applications based on satellite navigation technologies. The submission phase for this year’s edition is running from 1 April – 30 June 2017.
