Applications for Ageing Populations

  • Published on 2nd May 2017

The ESA Kick-start Activity call for "Ageing Population" opened on 24th April. Deadline for submissions is 29th May 2017.

Kick-start activities are designed to enable companies to undertake short Feasibility Studies that explore new service and application concepts which make use of space capabilities. Successful Kick-start Activities can be further developed into commercially-viable businesses with follow-up support from IAP in the form of a demonstration project.

Kick-start Activity: Ageing Population

This call for Kick-start Activities is dedicated to the theme "Ageing Population", which means that it is open to ideas for services addressed to the ageing population as a whole, local authorities, carers, the (national) health and social care system, residential homes, technology and service providers and other relevant stakeholders in this sector.

Eligible proposals will elaborate the business opportunity and the technical viability of new applications and services exploiting one or more space assets (e.g. Satellite Communications, Satellite Navigation, Earth Observation, Human Space Flight Technology).
