The Company

M&E Accident Repair Centre Ltd are a small company of approximately 28 employees. Incorporated in 2013, they are one of Leicester’s most established high-quality car body specialists.

What they do

They carry out all types of accident repairs to vehicles, from a small scratch to a full respray. This includes vans and light commercial vehicles. They paint plant machinery and also carry out restoration work on classic cars.

The Challenge

As a result of their success and standing against the competition, the company has recently expanded into an additional facility. This will allow them to grow and meet the increasing demand for their speciality skills. However, to fit out the new building with the necessary equipment they needed to make a significant investment. In particular they needed a new compressed air system to enable them to operate other equipment and offer a greatly enhanced service.

The Solution

After meeting an iNet Advisor at an LLEP event and learning of the support available, Sim Yoxen, Business Development Manager for the company, approached the iNet and applied for an ERDF PACE grant towards the cost of purchasing the new system.

The Outcome

A grant offer was made, and the company was able to instigate the development of the new system and claim back their grant once installed. This will enable the company to maximise their use of equipment, lead to additional contracts, increase current volume of contracts and hopefully create new jobs, leading to their main goal of being the biggest independent repairer in Leicester.

Having the compressors and relevant pipework fitted in the additional facility has been instrumental in the operational success of the company. We have successfully acquired two leading work providers and current work providers have increased the number of vehicles for repair. We are looking forward to a fantastic growth year thanks to the support of The iNet.
