The Challenge

The market they operate in is very competitive. In order to compete successfully, Premier UK Events try to offer clients a one-stop shop. This has resulted in repeat business with high levels of customer loyalty. In order to do be able to offer this level of service they have invested over £1million in AV equipment. They regularly need to invest in the latest kit to maintain this situation and to keep pace with competitors

Developments in screen management systems and the increasing complexity of client requirements meant that they needed to purchase a more advanced system, one which would allow multiple, very high resolution, non-standard aspect-ratio screens to be fully utilised.

This investment would allow them to expand the number of live events they are working on simultaneously, thereby increasing their capacity. The new capabilities it would bring would enable them to become more creative with their designs, giving them an edge over some competitors.

The Solution

Premier UK Events Ltd applied to SPRING for grant funding towards the purchase of a Screen Management System. This equipment, comprising hardware and software, performs video processing and presentation control. It has advanced screen mapping capabilities, expandable configurations and enables the integrated control of multiple screens. It can take 16 different sources/feeds and arrange them as required on multiple non-standard format displays. Feeds may include static graphics, live and recorded video, twitter feeds, presentation slides etc. This will give the company additional and more creative capabilities.

The Outcome

For Premier UK Events, having this equipment in-house is allowing them to up-skill their technicians to confidently meet clients’ requirements for high resolution, flexible screen management. It is also allowing them to be more creative during the design process to produce more engaging and exciting events. They have already made good use of the systems on several events, where they have made the process of managing complex screen setups much simpler and reliable.

The iNet have been extremely supportive in achieving a successful application for grant funding and were able to work to our deadline for purchase of the equipment. It’s encouraging to see such positive results at this early stage and we expect this investment to be a key part of our video hardware for some years to come.
