Industry Bodies

Arts Council England – The national development agency for the arts in England, distributing public money from the Government and the National Lottery.

British Council – The UK's international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities.

Creative & Cultural Skills – The licensed Sector Skills Council for the UK’s creative and cultural industries, including craft, cultural heritage, design, literature, music, performing arts and visual arts.

Creative England – A not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the growth of the creative industries.

Creative Industries Council – A joint forum between the creative industries and government which aims to bring the UKs creative industry to the world.

Creative Industries Federation – The national organisation for all the UK’s creative industries, cultural education and arts.

Department for Digital, Culture, Media & Sport DCMS – UK government department to promote and protect the UK’s cultural future and heritage.


Crafts Council – The national development agency for contemporary craft in the UK.


British Fashion Council – A not-for-profit organisation that aims to further the interests of the British fashion industry and its designer businesses by harnessing and sharing collective knowledge, experience and resources of the sector.

Design Council – A independent charity recognised as a leading authority on the use of strategic design. Advises the UK Government on design.

Film and TV

BFI – The lead organisation for film in the UK with the ambition to create a flourishing film environment in which innovation, opportunity and creativity can thrive.

British Film Commission – National agency tasked with supporting the British film industry and market the UK as a key film making and television production destination.

ScreenSkills – Industry led skills body for the UK’s screen based industries, including film, TV, animation and games.


UK Music – An industry-funded body that represents the collective interests of the recorded, published and live arms of the British music industry. Lobby’s government on behalf of the industry.
